  • Just when I thought season 3 can't possibly look better, HBO keeps releasing all these promos. The recent one, All of Us has a glimpse into the season's most important event and the bath scene! It means it's happening! oh God!, my ovaries!!! Melisandre appears to be using the oh-shit-my-magic-is-not-working-let's-use-my-slutty-ways approach again. And whoever chooses the music for promos - Jesus Christ, what brilliance. TRON Lagacy track, Nine Inch Nails and Sigur Ros.
  • The closer to the premiere the harder it is too take all of those clips. How I wish they used House of Cards approach here and just released the whole thing at once - granted, I wouldn't do anything for the whole day but watch it but the way it works now is just agonizing. On the other hand the ratings for the show each Sunday will be fucking insane.
  • This week there was a very special Emmy panel with Game of Thrones cast, the creators of the show and George Martin himself. I was shocked how few of the cast (the present one) read the books - only Kit Harrington read the series, while Michelle Fairley and Sophie Turner said they have a system and they only read their character's chapters. Maisie Williams said her mom read the books and told her what happened to Arya and then when Nikolaj answered last this is what happened:
  • The whole panel was really hilarious and awesome to watch (you can see it on youtube). It was awesome seeing Sophie and Maisie so sisterly, since in the show they really neglected the relationship between the two and Michelle Fairley's laughter is so sincere and warm. Martin said there will be few people sitting on the Iron Throne before the series is over and that he knows who will sit there in the end, which is kinda huge because he implied that the throne will still exist. Peter Dinklage was hilarious - it's amazing how charismatic he is, he talks and you just listen. My favorite part was when he said he'd like to play Daenerys Targaryen and did a sample of what it would look like:
  • So this is what mister Martin is doing instead of writing the books. I really liked his metaphor on how he feels he is creating the railroad and locomotive is catching up to him. I'm relieved though, ever since I heard he already told the show runners what will happen next. Also after seeing the gifset below, I'm pretty sure Margaery is not dying in the series...ever. Natalie Dormer has such a charming presence about her. Can't wait to see Margaery winning the hearts of people in King's Landing.
  • As soon as I saw Jon Snow's dumb expression when he sees Ygritte in the cave in one of the promos I knew something glorious will happen on tumblr. And it did:
  • Someone should give Charles Dancean award for existing
  • I've been making lots of Game of Thrones edits lately, people really seem to like Khaleesi one
  • Khaleesi and Drogon are doing commercials now.
  •  It's been 9 months and this still makes me laugh.
  • There is a shitstorm on the set of Jane's Got a Gun. After Fassbender dropped out, Lynne Ramsey, the director of the movie left the project on the first day of production. Now Jude Law, who singed up after Fass dropped left too. This is one of the most unprofessional sets I've ever heard of. They should just shoot the documentary on the clusterfuck on the set instead of actual movie (if they ever actually manage to do that)
  • Enlightened gets canceled yet Girls goes on. This is the world we live in.
  • Bates Motel was pretty awful. Vera Farmiga made it worth seeing, as her performance was incredible but Freddie Highmore is so cringeworthy he makes the character of Norman Bates completely redundant. Also there were so many laughable situations in the show and all that teenage lovin' was just unbearable.
  • People went nuts this week over the photo of Tom Hardy with a puppy. I propose you go nuts over similar photo, but with Hugh Jackman instead.
  • I still do not know nor care about Spring Breakers. Though I read the soundtrack has Lynchian feel to it and I'm all for that.
  • I've been watching Spooks season 7. Oh my God. I also saw the picture below yesterday and I just stared at it for 15 minutes. On some particularly insane level of my subconsciousness I was hoping if I stared long enough he will just APPEAR.
  • There are rumours the wait for next Bond movie can be as long as 3 years. Hurry the fuck up cause you need to replace Craig with either Mr. Elba or Mr. Armitage
  • This week I read Thorin bathed in the river in The Hobbit book. What the fuck Peter Jackson?! How could you not film that?! I pay for 3D and you don't shoot that scene? Lee and Richard better be naked in the river in next one, sponging and everything.
  • I'm told it's Spring now? Well, all there is outside is snow and ice. It's like I'm beyond the wall and Gustav is my miniature direwolf.
  • I had no time for any movies this week. I eat, I sleep, I shower, I write my dissertation, read Storm of Swords, drool over Armitage and watch Game of Thrones trailers repeatedly. This is all.
  • I finally installed Photoshop on my new computer and made tons of edits for next week's posts and obviously the new header, because once I start there is no stopping me before 5 AM.
  • Have you hovered over the dragon on the sidebar yet? Go ahead and behold the magic!
