While Game of Thrones is dark and full of terrors, there is also plenty of humor. Hilarious lines, witty characters and even some situational comedy. There are also many of unintentionally funny scenes, mostly involving Kit Harington attempts at acting and Daenerys shouting about her missing dragons back in season 2.However next to the scenes that made a lot of people laugh there are those that greatly amuse me whenever I see them. Though some of those listed below may have been intended as funny, I laughed out loud at each of those:
10.Awkward!
This is the scene where Jorah essentially proclaims his love for Daenerys. While Glen and Clarke are doing great job, the way that scene plays out with Jorah saying this lovely thing out of the blue and Dany turning away from him, as if she was thinking 'oh, this is awkward' is comical. Also since Jorah is plain in the books Daenerys' actions were not that irritating when I was reading them. But in the show he is played by Glen who says what he says in THAT voice, so she just comes of as unreasonable. Just wait till you see who she chooses to be her sex toy. Maybe she is one of the mad Targaryens after all?
9.Every single thing Ned Stark does
If Robb Stark gets any dumber he is going to need a helmet. That said, what chance did he have with a father like that? Ned did a lot of stupid things but the one that takes the cake is telling Cersei he knows her secret because he doesn't want her kids to die. Gee, Ned, what about your kids? The most tragic thing here is that Ned was outsmarted by Cersei Lannister of all people. She is not fit to be a mother or the Queen and she is not even that good at manipulating others. And Ned was proven to be even dumber than her.
8.Slap a bitch
Scenes where Joffrey gets slapped are universal favorites and they are hilarious in their own right but the noise he makes whenever it happens and the look on his face are just priceless. Pretty much every Joffrey scene is funny, given how often he looks completely puzzled, trying to figure out if people are making fun of him.7.Daenerys' people running away
Daenerys proclaims her people free and tells them that if they will stay they will be her blood. They see a woman who has just lost a baby, her husband, trusted dark magic and they see big ass pyre behind her. 80% gets up and runs the fuck away.6. You rescued the moon of my life? Choose a horse!
I'm sure in Dothraki culture a horse is a great gift, but really, Drogo? The dude saves your wife and you tell him he can choose whatever horse he likes and you tell him this as if you were giving him a castle and land?5.Whenever Sibil Kekilli tries to act
That chick is doing well but only when the writing is excellent. When it's to use an euphemism - not excellent - in a scene like the one in 3x02 where she is supposed to act jealous, it's as hilarious as it is embarrassing to witness. 4.Littlefinger's Batman voice
While I think Aidan Gillen is well cast here, he has started talking like Christian Bale does as Batman, starting in season 2 and in season 3 it is even more evident. I keep waiting for him to yell WHERE'S THE TRIGGER?!3."Theon Greyjoy..."
This is one of the most amazing scenes in the show. In his attempt to find out who is spying for Cersei, Tyrion summons Littlefinger, Pycelle and Varys. He tells them about his plans to wed Cersei's daughter to those who may be valuable allies. He gives each different name of the groom and when Cersei comes to see him, screaming about his plan, he will know which one talked. Varys's reactions are universally hilarious but when Tyrion tells him his plans to wed Marcella to Theon Greyjoy, Varys repeating "Theon Greyjoy" with the look in his eyes that screams both "Oh-oh the Imp went batshit" and "Each Hand of the King is dumber than the last" is incredibly amusing.
Oh God. Varys is hilarious to begin with but the looks he throws at Littlefinger and his reactions to the stuff he says are hilarious. Littlefinger has several of these moments too and the scenes where the two are talking in the throne room are just deliciously humorous and malicious.
1.Jaime is VERY amused
The whole scene where Catelyn is arguing with Karstark is a laugh riot. Jaime has escaped, killing Karstark's son in the process. When he is recaptured, Karstark wants to kill him while Catelyn reminds him that he can't, because he is his King's prisoner. Karstark tells her the King is away with the "foreign bitch", Catelyn shouts "HOW DARE YOU?!" and Brienne pulls out her sword yelling that threatening her lady is an act of treason. Jaime looks at all of this, greatly amused with his usual smug expression. But the best part comes when Karstark yells "How can it be treason to kill Lannisters?!" and the camera cuts to Jaime, frowning a little as if he was thinking "God, these people are crazy". Jaime's on-going indifference towards everything that is going on and the look on his face as if he was just deciding that everyone around him is a moron is usually very humorous.
