  • There's a new, very fun trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home.
  • Well, "very fun" other than that beginning.
  • I felt attacked.
  • I really hope they aren't actually doing multiverse, that sounds complicated and I already have trouble following all that stuff.
  • Richard Maddenis in talks to join The Eternals. This is just wonderful! Also - exciting rumor about Guardians 3. Rocket may be getting a ladyfriend! So cute!
  • Great new posters for Midsommar and Legion season 3:
  • On your left, Jimbo.
  • "my Titanic". Jesus Christ, that guy's ego is insane.
  • Just cancel all of it.
  • While Aladdin's marketing still sucks, here are gorgeous posters for John Wick 3:
  • I have no doubt they will make it worse.
  • Congratulations to Ryan Reynolds for sleeping with Blake Lively again.
  • And this will definitely make you smile.
  • New posters for The Lodge and It: Chapter Two:
  • It's that time of the year again. Celebrities dressed like assholesMET gala! Those were actually kinda cool but the rest is pure disaster.
  • Welcome to another week of me gloating about how awful Game of Thrones is.
  • Just imagine me as Hela from Ragnarok as I do it, only more fabulous.
  • Parts of the episode actually leaked before it aired. It was episode 4 and for the fourth time in the row the most important things from it were out on the Internet before air time. I'd say the security of shit at HBO is embarrassing but can anything even be called embarrassing comparing to the writing in the series?
  • And with the dumbass shit that happened in this episode we know now that the person who got them right and leaked some information weeks ago must be telling the truth about the finale. Oh, and it will be glorious. Fanbase is already turning against that show but just wait till that finale airs. It will make Lost finale seem like the greatest thing ever.
  • Personally, with this and Westworld in the gutter, I choose to see it as karma for cancelling Deadwood and Rome.
  • Oh God, where do I start? Jon abandoned Ghost and left him with Tormund. I can't even talk about Sansa "I'm glad I was raped because now I'm stronger" Bolton. Daenerys still didn't put armor on dragons so Euron, the discount Jack Sparrow if he was played by crackhead Depp of today, shot a bolt through Rheagal and he died. And she just charged at him on Drogon and didn't even burn his fleet. Missandai got beheaded by the Mountain, after she got captured somehow, and that is allegedly going to push Daenerys over the edge.
  • Let's stop for a moment here.
  • THIS is gonna push her over the edge.
  • When she was stranded with savages on the desert in season 1 and lost Jason Momoa she was cool but THIS is gonna push her over the edge.
  • Then Jaime banged Brienne but even that wasn't a good development because then he decided to return to Cersei. What in the holy hell is happening with that show? I mean this isn't just bad, this is like they are purposely writing the characters to act the opposite way they should be acting. And not just one character, all of them.
  • Also - in Inside the Episode, Benioff and Weiss, yet again looking as excited as I am on Monday when I go to work, said that Daenerys FORGOT about Iron Fleet.
  • She FORGOT.
  • There's also a Starbucks cup.
  • In a scene the directors were actually in.
  • SOMEONE CALL THE POLICE ON THESE PEOPLE.
  • On the biggest reddit 'fan' community for the show - FreeFolk - people affectionately refer to Robert Baratheon as "Bobby B." and still post memes about him. The funniest post I saw this week, in reference to how awful the show is now, was "Bobby B. died for this?"
  • Ladies and gentlemen, the memes - 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9
  • Since I had a long weekend last week I decided for once not to study or do anything productive and use those 5 days to actually chillax. So I watched a whole bunch of movies.
  • I rewatched The Big Lebowski, for obvious reasons and I did the thing. You know you wanna see Thor and Rocket get frisky in a bathtub.
  • Here's my promised livetweet of Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile. And here's the review.
  • I saw The Wind, an indie horror western and it had some cool visuals but it was 10 minutes of story stretched to 86 minutes. It's always amazing when a film with such a short run time manages to be boring.
  • And I watched Escape Room. Well, that's the worst movie of the year so far. It was so dumb and the production values were largely terrible. Can someone save Deborah Ann Woll and give her better opportunities? She was the only person in the cast elevating this garbage.
  • I also watched On the Basis of Sex and it was a good movie. It wasn't anything too special, but it's such an important story to tell and the actors did a great job. Felicity doesn't have much screen presence though, it's amazing she somehow got all those leading roles.
  • Paterno was really dull. It seems these days as long as Pacino is not aggressively awful and just wanders around during his scenes he gets a pass? And why is Riley Keough wasting her precious time on projects like this one, Hold the Dark or even worse - misogynistic trash like Von Trier's "film" and Under the Silver Lake? She deserves so much better than this. Love yourself, Riley.
  • Cold Pursuit was a fun movie and the score alone made it worth watching - it was very unique and fun. Liam Neeson didn't do much more than walking around, as usual, BUT there was Emmy Rossum who played a charming and persistent cop and had the things been shown from her perspective, it would probably play out a bit like Fargo, unfortunately it didn't.
  • Long Shot was such a funny movie. It's not as funny as Rogen's greatest comedies (nothing beats This is the End) but it's very reminiscent of 90's romantic comedies with a cool modern twist. Here's my review.
  • Red Eye was a lot of fun. McAdams and Murphy worked so well together and it was a very effective thriller. McAdams really can do no wrong, can't she? She is good even in bad movies and she has such an amazing range.
  • Outlaw Kingwas absolutely hilarious. However, I did enjoy the romance subplot between Pine and Florence Pugh's characters, She is so good in everything she is in, what an amazing actress. But that Pine dick shot was embarrassing for Netflix - it was shot from far away! Who the fuck shoots a dick from far away?!
  • Because of Florence I also watched The Falling and that was dreadful. She was wonderful, but the problem is that her character dies in the first 30 minutes and what we are left with is a terrible script, awful music and a charisma void otherwise known as Maisie Williams.
  • Jason Momoa, Richard Madden and Pedro Pascal are gonna be the only breakthroughs from Game of Thrones. Harington can't carry anything, Clarke has been in forgettable stuff, Williams cannot act. And then there is freaking Sansa, so desperate to stay relevant she actually married a Jones brother in Vegas in front of an Elvis impersonator. And the actual good actors have been stuck doing the same thing for years and now their characters are ruined in final season.
  • And then I watched Malevolent. That was not as bad as letterboxd seemed to suggest and yet again Florence was amazing. I don't think she can give a bad performance.
  • I also watched In the Heart of the Sea. You know, I think that whale was just trying to get with Chris. Once Chris had a beard he even accelerated.
  • Good God:
  • Also that movie features Tom Holland. At one point Thor and Spiderman committed cannibalism off screen and ain't that just amazing.
  • Look at him! Look how tiny!
  • Accurate and adorable.
  • And he is such a dork!
  • And he is like sunshine.
  • This is Chris' next project. If he goes undercover as one of those erotic dancers then this is gonna be the greatest movie of all time
  • Jason was on Ellen this week (1,2) and the title of the first video is art. I cannot believe she didn't ask him why he was naked on Christmas' Eve! Ellen, come on!
