  • Trailer for Doctor Sleep. This is the sequel to The Shining which should make us all afraid, seeing how awfully all those sequels and spin offs are turning out these days. But this is Mike Flanagan's movie and he made so many great horror flicks so far, so I'm hopeful.
  • New poster for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
  • Trailer for Official Secrets with Keira Knightley.
  • RDJ is out there straight up tweeting gifs from Endgame cam copy.
  • Surprising absolutely no one MiB received awful reviews and is destined to flop in the box office. I saw the movie today and it's somehow even worse than Dark Phoenix. Hemsworth is shirtless but other than that there is nothing here worth seeing.
  •  It's a horrible summer unless it's Disney or Keanu. And there's a Disney movie featuring Keanu coming up and it's getting incredible reviews.
  • At least we got Hemsworth on Fallon's show out of that debacle and that's always great (1,2)
  • This is a bad idea right there.
  • If Benioff and Weiss show up, just think of the massacre.
  • Oh, it gets worse. They submitted the finale for the best writing at the Emmys. They didn't submit the second episode, which had the best writing in this shitty season. And why? Because it wasn't written by D&D but the finale was and I guess they think it was good enough and want all the credit.
  • And let's not rule out that this may not only get nominated but even win. We are dealing with people who didn't even nominate Michelle Fairley. They're insane.
  • I saw Godzilla: King of the Monsters and it was really fun. Yes, it was dumb as hell but why is that a surprise to people? It's a movie about giant monsters fighting each other. It had some really hilarious moments and the CGI was awesome.
  • I also watched Dark Phoenix which was not good, I already have the trashing of this movie written down and will publish it soon.
  • Then I saw Ma, which was also not good, at least script-wise, but unlike Phoenix it was tons of fun and Octavia Spencer's performance was fantastic. I can see this becoming a cult classic. The script is a mess but the film is just so entertaining.
  • Detective Pikachu was so cute! The plot was silly but who cares, it's basically a movie for kids. I don't know much about Pokemon but I wasn't lost and most of them were really adorable!
  • As promised, my livetweets for: The Matrix, The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. This was a lot of fun. The Matrix, few dodgy shots aside, still holds up so well. And that soundtrack! Keanu looks so gorgeous in those films but he is still God-tier with his messy look in John Wick movies.
  • God-tier, you guys.
  • Anyways, the first movie is 10/10. The action is amazing, the script is so good, the ideas are fantastic. Action and science fiction movies today would be a lot different if that movie never happened.
  • The Matrix Reloaded has so many fun sequences and truly outrageous moments - orgasm cake, that rave/sex scene in Zion (oh God, all those close ups of his face!), Monica Bellucci extorting that kiss and of course the heart massage moment - but it's a huge mess and unlike John Wick movies the action scenes are just not inventive and beautifully shot enough to hold your interest. You can rewatch John Wick action sequences over and over again because they are so eventful and their uniqueness doesn't rely on slow motion gimmick like they did here. Here the scenes look cool but they become tiresome so quickly. Then there is all this nonsense with the Architect and it's just such a boner killer of a movie in the end. The cliffhanger was great, though.
  • And then The Matrix Revolutions...
  • Indeed, you precious angel you.
  • 16 years before that dreadful Game of Thrones finale happened there was a similar wet fart of an ending and that was that movie. Holy shit. Bellucci's cleavage aside, the single good moment arrives in 100th minute in the form of the fight in the rain sequence which is entirely too long. The whole thing is nonsensical, the Zion scenes are a disaster where we are watching a bunch of characters we don't really know get slaughtered and the whole thing is somehow overstuffed while also being under-cooked.
  • Also - this was filmed right after Keanu lost his child and his ex-girlfriend so watching THAT scene in which he cries in Revolutions was really heartbreaking to witness. I cannot imagine how difficult it must have been to do this.
  • God, can you just rain down all the happiness in the world on this man? It's just terrible that someone so sweet has been through so much.
  • Then I decided to rewatch Dracula which gets such a bad rep and it's a unique movie that really deserves more respect. The production design, costumes, cinematography and the music are all outstanding. Keanu attempts to do a British accent in this and it's hilarious. Winona's character is such a major ho - she plays his fiancée and she is dancing around with Gary Oldman while poor Keanu is getting his dick bitten in Transylvania. I was outraged.
  • Also, I must include this gif:
  • Sweet Jesus.
  • Guys.
  • Guys!
  • GUYS!
  • GUYYYSSSSS!!!!!!!
  • I collapsed on the floor and am linking this from there
  • Here he is in bloopers for Always be my Maybe
  • So I don't know anything about games but apparently Keanu is gonna be in one, looking like this.
  • Now when he says 'interacts' what exactly are we talking about here?
  • *winks till she pulls a facial muscle*
  • He was also on a big game thingy (this is as specific as I can be) and the crowd completely lost their shit:
  • That disturbing high pitched sound you've been hearing for the last 4 days?
  • That's just me screaming after watching this.
  • (Jon Bernthalwas also there. What the fuck?! Is it a game conference or Men who should be dating me conference?!)
  • That moment when a fan screamed "you're breathtaking!" and Keanu paid that compliment back to the entire crowd is pure magic.
  • I think as a human race, collectively, we don't deserve him. I really do think that. There's this scene in Reloaded where people flock to him with gifts, asking him to bless them and I think we should be doing this in real life.
  • Just look at this.
  • *collapses*
  • (also why is he sitting like this, I think we have been through enough with all that dropped on us this week. For the love of God by Monday I was already distracted for the rest of the week)
  • Toy Story 4 premiere happened this week. Here's the livestream. For Keanu content jump to 46th minute.
  • I cannot believe those reporters told him he is our boyfriend now! Shhhh guys! You'll scare him!
  • Can we just take a moment to appreciate this picture:
  • Bo Peep is perving so bad over there.
  • And now head to my twitter for I shall now watch Point Break for the very first time. And yes, you are getting the livetweet! Because you are all BREATHTAKING!
