First trailer for A Quiet Place part 2. This looks fun and hopefully isn't as silly as the first movie. I still cannot believe they made a child...on purpose...during the SILENT Apocalypse.
This guy is just disgusting. I cannot believe some fans still defend him, worse yet equate his gross, disturbing and stupid comments - sent on New Year's Eve, no less, what the hell? he has nothing better to do?- with Oscar's stance on FinnPoe and expressing his disappointment publicly. This is such an unprofessional behavior. Seems like that has been knows he is done and is having meltdowns left and right. There is absolutely no defense for his tweets where he started throwing insults and petty gifs at fans. And even for me that expression he used about the pipe is crass.
TROS writers are now usingCarrie Fisher's death as an excuse for Rose's limited screen time. How much more disrespectful can these people get?!
Seriously just cancel all of it and give all the money to Favreau for The Mandalorian.
I rewatchedKnives OutandThe Killing of a Sacred Deer. I bumped up the former to 9/10, it's just such an entertaining movie. It really will be a shame if they won't make a sequel with Benoit Blanc solving another mystery. The latter was for letterboxd Film Club and it was just as weird and insane as I remember it to be. Colin Farrell searching for pubes in the kitchen is still one of the wildest things I've ever seen.
I also watchedMayhem for Secret Cinema part of Film Club and this movie just didn't work. I could see where they were going with their ideas, but the script wasn't strong enough to pull it off or to make things funny enough. But Samara Weaving is always fun to watch and it was nice to see Steven Yeun outside of TWD mess.
And I sawZombieland: Double Tap which was really bad and boring but Zoey Dutch, Rosario Dawson, Luke Wilson and especially Woody Harrelson rescued big chunks of it and their scenes were fun to watch.
Ford v Ferrariwas good but it took a long time to get going. It fails in every possible comparison with Rush, which is probably the greatest racing movie ever made. Bale was good but he was so cartoonishly British in it I half expected him to have a cup of tea while he was racing.
I am watching The Witcher and there's actually so many problems with that show that I will make a separate post to bitch about it. Cavill's delivery of the word "fuck" is brilliant, though.
So The Mandalorian finale. Here's my riveting livetweet.
Sweet Jesus, how loud I moaned.
Baby Yoda had so many precious moments in this episode. The way he fainted all tired after using the force. Holding's Mando foot when Mando was injured. The wave! And:
DO NOT ASK ME HOW MANY TIMES I WATCHED IT THIS WEEK
DON'T EVEN LOOK AT ME
The worst thing is how damn catchy that song is. I had it playing in my head the whole damn week and anytime I heard it I kept seeing the images from this video. I am so fucking distracted, you guys.
And finally, here is my tweet which you really need to see and then you need to bleach your brain.
