Adam Driver was so funny hosting SNL. I loved his monologue and the opening bit was kinda ballsy. The science guy and Slow sketches were freaking hilarious.

Carey Mulligan is so right here. You just know so many of the Academy members don't actually watch the movies.

For Film Club this week we watched Delicatessen which was batshit insane. But not in a good way.

Speaking of batshit insane, I finally sawLast Christmas and it was bad. Emilia Clarke deserves so much better than this.

Also, because of few talks I had on letterboxd I saw Tyler Perry's Fall From Grace on Netflix. It's so ridiculous and hilarious but it was hard to watch a lawyer this incompetent. Goddamn, I'm really good at my job since stuff like that actually bothered me. The lines there, Jesus. "ASHTRAY BITCH!""GET YOUR BLACK ASS OUT OF MY HOUSE!". It's such a trash fire, you guys need to see this.

Doctor Sleep Director's Cut was great. They expanded on a lot of what was only hinted at in theatrical cut and made the characters so much richer. There was quite a bit more of Rebecca's masterful performance in it. And after the rewatch I did put it in my cinematography and production design line ups. It feels like The Shining but it's not, the wide shots are absolutely breathtaking and the attention to detail and how lived in things are is fantastic.

After that, given my conversation with Mario in comment section here I decided to rewatchGerald's Game. I meant every word in that review.

See, it's the conversations I am having with people that lead me to make all those bad choices. None of this is my fault.

So in my quest through Ben's films I obviously started with trash instead of really good ones.

Robin Hoodwas so bad but it was fun bad, not life draining bad like the new Star Wars movie. The whole thing was supposed to be happening in the time of crusades but most of the cast was wearing modern outfits. Seeing how he was wearing a long, blue leather coat I was not bothered by that in the slightest.

I also watchedTrespass.

Yeah...really diving into the dumpster for that man.

Was it trash? Yes.

Did he refer to himself as "daddy" twice and also said "good girl"? Yes.

Time well spent.

I sawThe Land of Steady Habits on Netflix which was really quite lovely. It reminded me of Laggies a lot. I was delighted to see him lead a movie! More of that, please! Also I loved how the second he walked into a store the scene cut to him having sex with some chick he met there, because it was this easy for him. Between his three sex scene there and his bare ass in the very first episode of Bloodline (as you can imagine, I'm already hooked on that series) Netflix has REALLY earned my money this month.

And I rewatchedCaptain Marvel. His character there is seriously one of my fav in all of MCU. Please do check the links to letterboxd I'm including in this post, I cannot possibly write this filth again. The "young lady" thing was so much to take.

And then I even rewatchedFar From Home.

I swear I am not a person who made either the tumblr or reddit post about this. But I obviously noticed this. I am watching the scene unfold and I am like "Hey, that is a cool dolly shot!" and then I am like "OH MY GOD?!?!" and giggling.

I need a lobotomy and castration.

I also need to throw my phone out of the window.

Jesus Christ, did I have strange day yesterday. I work in a very serious place and everyone has very Maggie Smith in Harry Potter kind of energy every day there. But yesterday people were so fucking giddy. I'm starting to think maybe there was some gas in the building that made everyone high. My boss was joking around, HR people were joking around, secretaries were joking around.....I was giddy too but clearly I'm crazy and I'm also in love, but what is their excuse? Anyways, I just had to take the day off today so that's why you are getting this RF early. My office is like the monster from Bird Box, you look at it too long you go insane and I already feel insane so nope, not going there tomorrow. I literally feel like my mind is in several places at the time.

Also I might have found out he actually reads DMs on instagram from fans. And I might have joked (totally joked) around wondering if I should send nudes. And obviously I already got DMs on my twitter from strange dudes just because I tweeted those words. So just talking about sending nudes works for guys? That's all it takes? Cause I have other assets. I'm 20 years younger than the man, I clearly have no self respect and I'm basically a walking Lana Del Rey song. I don't want to get soft on you but yes, we belong together.

I'm just gonna finish on this ambiguous and horrifying note.
